Work pits for indoor and outdoor use
We design, manufacture and install rail work pits for both indoor and outdoor use. Many years of experience in the manufacture of prefabricated reinforced concrete components, combined with the extensive rail know-how of the General Atomics Europe Group, resulted in the development of a rail work pit for assembly and maintenance work on rail vehicles.
Proven cross-section
The basis of our rail work pits is our well-proven cross-section, in which the clear working space in the lower area widens from 110 to 132 cm. Our design creates additional installation space for lighting and other built-in components.
Variable measures
The depth and length of the pits is variable and will be determined according to your requirements to suit the application (e.g. working or evaluation pit). Optionally, we offer a raised grating floor (galvanized steel or GRP construction). Entry and exit stairs as well as working lights can also be supplied by us on request.
Secure and waterproof connection
The joints between the elements are sealed with a polysulfide-based sealant, making them resistant to mineral oil and fuels. Other sealing techniques can also be used, depending on the requirements. A waterproof connection between the elements, for use in case of high groundwater levels, is also possible.
